|
This renovated garden house is like an oasis of calm.
In the courtyard, beside the sunny terrace there is a peaceful ecological swimming pond.
Independent of the fireplace, the whole house (including the swimming pond) is heated by solar power.

AN EVER CHANGING CANVAS:
some years ago this architect-couple bought an old warehouse along the river.
The past four years they slowly moulded the place into their home.
Little by little they added colour, texture, emotion an details to the blank canvas.
And still today it is not considered finished. They continuously add, change and rummage through their house.

| FLOIRAC |
|
Located on a hill overlooking the Bordeaux region, this private residence is conceived as three houses stacked. The lowest level, which accommodates intimate family life, is a series of caverns carved out from the hill; a garden level, completely sheathed in glass, provides additional living and working spaces, while the highest level is reserved for a master suite and children’s bedrooms. The heart of the Maison à Bordeaux is an open mechanical lift which moves freely between the three levels. The interior is designed by Maarten Van Severen.
